Adding an invoice

Adding an invoice is a quick and simple process via the 40Seas Dashboard

To add an invoice, simply click on the buyer from your 40Seas Dashboard, and then click on "Add Invoice."

PayNow Invoice

  1. Go to the Buyer's profile
  2. Click "Add an invoice" 
  3. Enter in the details and upload the invoice attachment.
  4. Select "On Due Date" for an immediate non-credit invoice. Please make sure the due date on the invoice matches the due date on 40Seas
  5. Click "Save" 

The payment request will be automatically sent to the buyer and they will be prompted to pay with the specified due date.

PayLater Invoice

Otherwise known as a Net Terms Invoice, PayLater invoice require the customer to have an active credit line on 40Seas. 

You can tell if a customer has a credit line on their profile if they have "Available credit". You can see how much credit has been actively applied to their invoices and track utilization. 

To create a net terms invoice:

  1. Go to the Buyer's profile
  2. Click "Add an invoice" 
  3. Enter in the details and upload the invoice attachment. Make sure there is a line item on the invoice attachment for the "40Seas financing fee".
  4. Select "Net Terms" for a credit invoice. Please make sure the due date on the invoice matches the due date on 40Seas.
  5. Click "Save"
