Adding an invoice is a quick and simple process via the 40Seas Dashboard
To add an invoice, simply click on the buyer from your 40Seas Dashboard, and then click on "Add Invoice."
PayNow Invoice
- Go to the Buyer's profile
- Click "Add an invoice"
- Enter in the details and upload the invoice attachment.
- Select "On Due Date" for an immediate non-credit invoice. Please make sure the due date on the invoice matches the due date on 40Seas
- Click "Save"
The payment request will be automatically sent to the buyer and they will be prompted to pay with the specified due date.
PayLater Invoice
Otherwise known as a Net Terms Invoice, PayLater invoice require the customer to have an active credit line on 40Seas.
You can tell if a customer has a credit line on their profile if they have "Available credit". You can see how much credit has been actively applied to their invoices and track utilization.
To create a net terms invoice:
- Go to the Buyer's profile
- Click "Add an invoice"
- Enter in the details and upload the invoice attachment. Make sure there is a line item on the invoice attachment for the "40Seas financing fee".
- Select "Net Terms" for a credit invoice. Please make sure the due date on the invoice matches the due date on 40Seas.
- Click "Save"
