Applying for Credit

Applying for credit via 40Seas is simple and streamlined.

To apply for a 40Seas credit line:

  1. Login or create a 40Seas account. If you are invited by an existing supplier on 40Seas, make sure you click on their invite email or use their portal. 

If you are unsure about your Supplier's portal, please email support@40seas.com.

 

2. Once logged in, click "Apply now" on the home page credit application.

 

3. Confirm your business details.

We auto-verify your business to streamline the underwriting review. 

4. Confirm your contact details and signatory status.

We need an official applicant name associated with the company. If you are not an authorized company signatory, we will require verification of one.

5. Enter requested credit amount.

Note: it's possible to be rejected or partially approved for the requested amount. 

6. Securely upload your recent financial statements.

Your chances of credit line approval increases with more audited financial information you can share. At a minimum, we recommend a recently audited P&L and Balance Sheet.

 

7. Securely connect a bank account so we can verify financial ownership and transaction activity.

8. (Optional) Sign a personal guarantee for a stronger review.

 

Our team will generally reach out within 3-5 business days with a status update. Your credit application may be approved, rejected, or we may require additional information before a decision.
